While at lunch at one of our favourite restaurants the other day, I went on a little walk around the premises and came across this beautiful, old pinball machine. This is something I don’t come across very often anymore and…
Last year I took part in the 24 Hour Project for the first time and it was so crazy that I professed I would not do it again. Low and behold, this year I found myself slap-bang right in the…
I feel so blessed in so many ways being able to write this post I can hardly contain myself. Why? you ask? Let me tell you why?
I have written about Weinheim, Germany before in my “Ode to Cobblestones”. The town boasts a lot of historic superlatives which are a good reason to visit but it was not my reason I was there on my last visit to…

So I watched the movie “Brooklyn” recently. A beautiful movie about peoples’ roots, belonging, family and love and home. A very significant part of the movie is a dialog between Eilis and Tony when he asks her to marry him.…
If you agree, you will be as excited as I was when I discovered one of the latest hip developments in Joburg.
