Calling all Instant Photography Lovers

If you are in the market for a new instant camera, look no further than the new mini Evo. The ‘mini what’ you say? Yes! I say! The Instax mini Evo. It’s super slick, compact, multi-talented and oh-so-retro! Best in class.

Instax’s latest hybrid camera is a digital point-and-shoot that takes digital images, stores them in-camera and prints them. It has an app that makes it double-up as a smartphone printer – on steroids.

I’ve been having so much fun, and love creating memories with mine. It leaves little to be desired by any instant photography aficionado.

The retro-style print lever at the top of the camera is such a nice touch and one of my favourite features. It makes using it quirky and fun.

Telling stories is my thing. I don’t hold back on capturing special moments, and with this camera, I am able to add instant photographs as part of documenting my family holidays in even more creative ways.

The mini Evo is very compact yet comfortable to handle, and so it goes anywhere and everywhere with me. I can quickly grab a few shots and choose which one I want to print and share on the spot, or later.

Being able to share prints with my family as I go, is one of the most powerful features of instant cameras. In addition to that, I am also able to select my favourite shots at the end of the holiday and print them for our family albums.

This camera has soooooooo many functions. Depending on how creative or moody I feel, I can use a filter, lens effect or a combination of both to reflect my vibe. I can go instax natural or rich mode, create artistic prints with double exposures, fish eye or light leaks and many others. I love being able to have freedom to make images that are unique and fun.

Because of its fantastically close focussing distance of 10cm, I can capture macros and also landscapes with interesting foregrounds. The cherry on top? Impressive, high quality instant prints!

Thanks to a tripod thread, it’s also great for low light shots. The built-in flash adds more versatility as it can be switched on when a little extra pop is needed.

It is a fabulous tool to up your selfie game. The selfie mirror at the front of the camera compliments the loads of lens effects for stand-out results.

A nice new feature introduced with the mini Evo App is the “Printed Image Transfer”. It lets you download printed images to your smartphone, ready for social media sharing. (The feature has now also been added to the Mini LiPlay App.)

The mini Evo has a built-in rechargeable battery. My experience using it so far is that the indicated 100 prints per charge is easily achievable. It can also be recharged with a battery pack while on the go. So if you have a serious instax day ahead of you, you don’t need to worry about running out of power.

With so many talents, my Evo is sure to keep me busy and entertained for many creative days and weeks ahead. At the start of each day, I can’t wait to take it for another spin to see what new I can create with it.

If you are looking to invest in a point-and-shoot camera that has many creative features, can print your images on the go and is the best of what instant cameras can offer, the Instax mini Evo is for you!

And if not just yet, hang tight, I’ll be back with more about my experience with using the mini Evo.
