FujiLove Magazine is featuring a series of mine on their socials this week, “5 tips for shooting SOOC with the Fujifilm X Series”, which I am very excited about. The series started yesterday with Tip 1. If you missed it, you can check it out here:
Today’s post – Tip 2″ – explains how to give your jpegs a certain look, i.e. how to load your camera with a specific film simulation recipe. Since this requires you to load custom settings into your camera, you may find this a little tricky when you first start out on the straight-out-of-camera-journey.
The post shows a walk-through video to demonstrate how to do this on an X-T5.
If you are new to this process, follow the step-by-step guide below. It will help you get familiar with loading recipe settings at your own pace. Press the right arrow on your desktop or swipe left on your smartphone to advance to the next slide.
If you would like to watch a live demonstration of loading a recipe, check out this soundbite from the first episode of SOOC in which Ritchie Roesch (Fuji X Weekly) and I walk viewers’ through this process on an X-T3:
Be sure to catch all 5 of my tips on FujiLove this week! Best follow @FujiLoveMag and @NathalieBoucry on Instagram so that you don’t miss a post.
I am hugely honoured to be featured on the channel. A big shout out to everyone at FujiLove! I love the community and of course, the magazine. It’s a great resource to stay up-to-date with everything Fujifilm. Do check out their free sample magazine – you may just love it as much as I do and decide to become a subscriber.
