So, what’s your story? Not sure? Okay, l’ll go first then:
After weeks of planning and the excitement of my upcoming trip, I have finally arrived in Germany. And like I do every year when I’m here, I grab the first chance I get to walk to the bakery around the corner to get fresh rolls for breakfast.
If you live in Germany you may not think anything of it. But this seemingly insignificant everyday activity is so special to me I have to take it in properly by “taking the scenic route”, camera in hand of course.
The weather has been surprisingly magnificent and offers great opportunities to shoot a bit of Reggie’s Portra, which is one of the “Recipes of the Month” for our April Theme of SOOC – Storytelling.
Reggie’s Portra delivers jpegs straight out of camera with great, rich colours, nice contrast with an overall warm feel and fabulously blue skies.
I really enjoy the ease of going out, shooting some great looking jpegs and sharing them pretty much instantly. The joy that comes from this doesn’t get old.
And what about you? What have you been shooting? Do you enjoy Reggie’s Portra? And what about any of the other recommended recipes for our “Challenge of the Month”? What do you think of the recipes and the challenges? Let me know in the comments here or on YouTube. I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
And before I forget – please note that we had to move next week’s Live Q&A to FRIDAY, 28 April:
If you haven’t yet, I recommend that you subscribe to the channel and turn on notifications so that you stay up to date with what’s coming up!
And if you missed April’s Theme Show “Photos Tell Stories” you can still catch it here:
Remember that anyone can take part in our “STORYTELLING” CHALLENGE so please feel free to join us. All you have to do is choose one, or all of the following:
Level 1: shoot with the Recommended Recipes
Level 2: create Layered Compositions
Level 3: try to Elicit Emotion
Upload up to 3 of your favourite images here: https://www.dropbox.com/request/RGHvQB8FwRZRlCxvBHkT by Tuesday, 25 April (and remember to add the recipe to the file name).
I’m looking forward to seeing what you have created and can’t wait to connect with you next week!
Until then, be safe, and make lots of awesome jpegs!!!
