I shot this wedding alongside Danielle Pretorius – Wedding Angel at the beautiful The Moon & Sixpence. We were blessed with beautiful weather and stunning light creating lots of opportunities for amazing scenes and photographs.

The wonderful couple had chosen a striking turquoise as their main colour which really pops out in the photographs.

Gareth was all smiles and could hardly wait for “the moment”. Though he kept a “poker face” his excitement was very obvious! He referred to this situation during his speech later. He told it like this: “The photographer asked me to look in the mirror when fixing my tie and I thought to myself: boy o boy, Jessica is definitely getting the better deal here”!!! I love it!

Boys will be boys… what can I say…

I dig their cake – was absolutely fascinated by the blue flowers on top of it. Not sure why, but was anyway.

He looks so calm and content, doesn´t he. The content bit I give him – the calmness… no, not so much. But I guess one shouldn’t be calm but rather in a state of heightened excitedness on your wedding day!

My favourite part!

And they didn´t even notice that someone else was also watching…

How cute are they together? Seriously. It is always so awesome to work with couples who are soooo in love the can´t keep their hands off each other and “in-between” the shots you manage to steal moments like this… priceless. In situations like this I always get so mushy-hearted I have to make sure I keep my camera in front of my face, yes, to make sure I get those shots, but on the other hand it is a really good way to hide all these emotions welling up and making me all teary-eyed… I am such a softy…

Ooooo yes 🙂 she is definitely squeezing his bum!!!

How gorgeous is this girl?

And another one of those moments… I don´t think they realised I was even there. Definitely one of my favourite shots of the day!

Or maybe it´s this one… not sure. I just love the expression of tenderness in her face. And they did dance beautifully, too.

Another marvelous wedding day coming to a close…
I admit, I had a lot of fun shooting here – thanks to Danielle, Jessica and Gareth!!!
