Exploring Johannesburg’s “Main Street Life”
I have been out and about again – this time I wanted to check out the Art Hotel at Main Street Life: 12 Decades Hotel. The hotel’s concept traces the history of Johannesburg and it’s rooms are designed by some of South Africa’s most celebrated artists and designers.
There are a total of 12 rooms, each of them representing a decade of South Africa’s past, spanning from 1886 to 2006.
The rooftop of Main Street Life offers a 360 degree view over Johannesburg which is definitely worth seeing.
One can walk across the entire rooftop and enjoy these great vistas:
There is also a bar located here and the 2000sqm space can be hired for functions, parties, live performances and more.
