🔒⬇️ Day 7

Got up late what a treat
Lots of doggy cuddles on the couch with @spotinjozi sweetened by strong coffee
Checked stats for the first time in what seemed a long time
Numbers are shocking but it’s almost becoming normal to see such big jumps in cases, that’s even more shocking
Caught up with some news - nothing but “Big C” stuff
Checked in on some live-streams of other local creatives on Facebook; feels nice to play “consumer” for a change
Daily Whats App 📱call with my sister - she is doing well
Heard of people who were looking for today’s morning livestream - sorry guys, we’ll be back tomorrow!
Took Spot for a run on the leash around the
property (he is now convinced that I have lost the plot - I think this will do more for my fitness than his 😅)
Had breakfast at 11 🙈 timing is definitely out these days
Took a shower and checked in on my bruises... looks like they are not going to disappear in a hurry, lucky it’s not beach time 🙈
This weather... more rain... really????
No need to put my face on today... saves makeup rations... who knows when I can replenish my stock
Who uses makeup on a daily basis at the moment? Do you put on makeup before a Zoom conference? I wonder...
Prep work for the next two days
Checked more social media
Made a few calls
Took some photos with the nifty #Fujifilm #xt200
Made some more calls to organize the next couple of shows
Starting to feel like a real thing now
Had supper - I am so hungry these days... must be the change of the season
Helped Stanley with some last touch ups for tomorrow
Excited about the show
Went to bed an hour later than planned
It got freezing cold... time to sleep - long day ahead!

Day 5🔒⬇️ Another early start to my day
Livestream day

Regardless of all the work ahead I made time for a cuddle with @spotinjozi on the couch 😱 while sipping strong coffee and prepping the brain for the day
Does Spot look rounder around the mid drift? I think he’s put on weight. No running in the park 🌳 what did I expect
What’s on earth is up with the weather? It really fits the general mood - grey and triste

Everything that happened thereafter is pretty much just a blur... we worked flat out: lights on, cameras on, sound check, cable here, cable there, wow what a production set. I think for the first time in our livestream career we are using all of our gear in one production. Even almost all the cables 😱 Crazy stuff... Lots of ups, some downs. All in all a good day. For us. Thanks to everyone for watching 🙏🏻 we ❤️ your support!

3 live-streams later - time for supper. Wow it’s before 8pm. Proud of myself.
Prepped tomorrow’s sessions.

Landlord came for a chat. Kept our distance. He apologized 3 times for standing so far away. We spoke about the outside world. Reality check. Haven’t even looked at the stats today. Is that good or bad?

What a day.

Finally in 🛌 bed.

Day 4🔒⬇️ I woke up early, too early, realiz

Day 4🔒⬇️
I woke up early, too early, realize how much later the sun is rising ☀️ these days
Had a strong cup of coffee ☕️
Anxious and excited about finally starting our lockdown programme
Checked in with my sister
She had just come back from a walk in the forest 🌳 with her dog 🐶 it’s allowed in Germany 🇩🇪 She was upset that lockdown in Germany got extended by two weeks
Had my standard conversation with @spotinjozi 🐶 about how we can’t go 💔 to the park today either
Had another strong coffee
Put my face on for the first time in what seems like forever
Realized that I will run out of makeup 💄 and wondered if I will be able to buy makeup during lockdown (it is an essential good for many but not sure of Cyril sees it like that)
Today’s weather... - what’s with all the rain 🌧 all over sudden?
We can’t roam free but at least we are not drying out
The rain is obviously not the reason Spot can’t go to the park today but at least it’s helping him to realize that it’s, yet again, not a park 🌳 day
No internet 🚨 worst news
After hours of trying to figure out what’s going on we rescheduled our broadcast 📺 to tomorrow
What next?
Phone call from the delivery guy who was here to deliver Spot’s food
He was waiting outside the gate
Contact with the outside world? Excitement and anxiety hitting in all at the same time
Where is my face mask? I couldn’t remember where I put it 💭 and opened every drawer in every room in the house (luckily our house 🏡 is small)
Found the mask 😷 and put it on my face for the first time
This all feels so wrong
The deliver guy kept his distance. Grateful and apologetic for the awkwardness of the moment
Took the parcel back to the house
Disinfected the outside and inside of the package
Took my time doing this (no idea whether I was doing this right...probably overdid it)
The internet came back
Read the news that the friend’s father passed away
Had a long crying session
Life’s not fair
Listened to Cyril’s speech
I could have done without today
Went to bed eventually
